SPACES, PLACES AND TOURISM
Globally circulating images from touristic places generate concrete imaginary worlds and thus shape the way these places are perceived by their visitors and the images they produce and distribute again. Using artistic and socioscientific methods as well as a variety of artistic media, we contrast a subjective perspective on the places and spaces in focus with existing imagery. Material collected during an excursion to Venice and the Architecture Biennale will be the basis for an analysis of how spaces are transformed through a layering of their different occupations from local, everyday practices and tourism. The results will be brought together in a mapping (topological matrix).
